The wrestling hall of the Shahdag wrestling club in Quba has been extensively renovated and is now available for athletes.

According to Offsideplus.az, the Azerbaijan Wrestling Federation (AWF) has gifted the club a modern wrestling mat, and a tour of the updated hall was conducted in connection with this.

The event was attended by AWF vice-presidents, Olympic champions Namiq Abdullayev and Farid Mansurov, the federation's secretary general Parvin Piriyev, as well as officials from the Quba District Executive Authority and the Regional Youth and Sports Department.

The club's coach Musa Mirzayev introduced the guests to the facilities and provided information about the athletes' training process.

During the meeting, discussions were held regarding the establishment of sections for Greco-Roman, freestyle, and women's wrestling in Quba. It was emphasised that the modern hall would significantly contribute to the popularity of wrestling in the region and the development of new champions.
