The women's volleyball matches of the European Championship Group C are set to begin in Baku.

According to Offsideplus.az, the Azerbaijani national team will test their strength against the Portuguese team in the first match, which will take place at the National Gymnastics Arena at 19:00. Prior to the game, the championship's opening ceremony will be held at 18:15.

Under the guidance of head coach Faiq Garayev, our national team will compete in Group C against Portugal, the Netherlands, Belgium, Romania, and Spain. The top four teams from the group stage will secure a place in the playoffs.

Matches in our capital will continue until August 28. It is worth noting that alongside Azerbaijan, Turkey, Sweden, and the Czech Republic will co-host the EuroVolley 2026, which concludes on September 6.
