Sabah's player Velko Simic has set a record by scoring in five consecutive matches in the UEFA Champions League.
According to Offsideplus.az, referencing the Professional Football League, he found the net during the play-off match against Hapoel (Beer Sheva, Israel) in an away game (1:2).
The Serbian midfielder had previously scored in both matches of the second qualifying round against KuPS (Finland) (1:0, 2:0), and then in the third qualifying round matches against Aarhus (Denmark) (1:2, 4:0).
With this achievement, Simic has become the first player in the history of Azerbaijani football to score in five consecutive matches in the UEFA Champions League while representing clubs.
It is worth noting that the previous shared record belonged to Qarabag's forwards Redon Cica and Juninho.
