Azerbaijani Para-taekwondo fighter Sabir Zeynalov has clinched a silver medal at the Open Challenge Tournament held in Chuncheon, South Korea.

According to Offsideplus.az, the National Paralympic Committee reported that the athlete, competing in the 58 kg weight category, suffered a defeat against Ali Can Ozcan of Turkiye in the final.

On his path to the final, Zeynalov defeated Timur Baitimirov of Russia in the round of 16, Tyemirbyek Khaulyet of Mongolia in the quarterfinals, and Fayoz Valijonov of Uzbekistan in the semifinals.

It is worth noting that the tournament offers ranking points for the Los Angeles 2028 Summer Paralympic Games.
