Our beach wrestling team is continuing preparations for the important competitions taking place in Baku.
According to Offsideplus.az, the latest training camp, which is aimed at preparing for the U-17 World Championship and the IV stage of the World Series, is being held at the European Games Park and the training base of the Azerbaijan Wrestling Federation.
The head coach and members of the national team have evaluated their readiness for the competitions.
Oyan Nazariani, head coach of the national team:
"We are in the final stage of preparation. Currently, we are conducting a training camp with participants from six countries. Members from the USA, Ukraine, Serbia, Croatia, Algeria, and Turkey have joined the final preparation process. I believe the camp has been very beneficial. Today, we held our final test matches. We will be ready for the start of the competition on August 27."
Ibrahim Yusubov, coach of the national team:
"We are preparing at a high level for the competition. The team is working hard to prepare for both important competitions taking place in Baku. The participation of foreign teams enhances the quality of our preparation. We will do our best to achieve successful results in both the U-17 World Championship and the IV stage of the World Series."
Ulviye Musayeva, member of the national team:
"This time, the U-17 World Championship in beach wrestling is being held in Baku. Currently, we are preparing alongside six teams for this competition. My goal is to perform successfully in my hometown and defend my title to become a two-time world champion. After that, I will also strive for success at the Youth Summer Olympic Games."
Ashraf Ashirov, member of the national team:
"We are intensively preparing for the IV stage of the World Series, which will take place in Baku. The morale in the team is at a high level. We will give our all to bring joy to our fans with victories."
It should be noted that the U-17 World Championship will take place on August 27. The IV stage of the World Series will be held in the following two days. Both competitions will be organised at the Sea Breeze recreation centre.
