The European Judo Cup for juniors, held in Skopje, the capital of North Macedonia, has concluded.
According to Offsideplus.az, the national team won 2 gold and 4 bronze medals on the final day of the tournament.
Khadija Gadashova (-57 kg) and Davud Namazli (-100 kg) defeated all their opponents to secure the gold medals.
Nargiz Ahmadova and Gulgez Musayeva (both -48 kg), Ayten Verdiyeva (-57 kg), and Janpolad Aliyev (-100 kg) earned bronze medals.
It should be recalled that Nilgun Rzayeva (-63 kg) also won a bronze medal on the first day of the competition.
Thus, the Azerbaijani team finished third in the overall team standings among 33 participating countries, securing a total of 7 medals (2 gold and 5 bronze).
