Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc attended the press conference ahead of the Azerbaijan Grand Prix.

Offsideplus.az reports that he shared his thoughts on his previous performances at the Baku circuit and discussed his battles with teammate Lewis Hamilton.

Leclerc, who holds the record for the most pole positions in Baku, reflected on his search for a first victory on the street circuit: "I have the record in qualifying here in Baku, but I haven't won yet — that's a fact. To be honest, qualifying has been the most challenging aspect with our car this season. If we can qualify near the front, I'll be hopeful for the race. However, we first need to prepare properly for the weekend. Depending on power unit optimization, there are significant performance differences from race to race in this year's car. That factor will play a huge role on a track like Baku, so we need to focus on it. It's a circuit I love driving, even though I've faced difficulties in the races. I hope we can fix that this year."

The Monegasque driver also addressed his recent on-track battles and relationship with teammate Lewis Hamilton: "There have been moments where I've stepped over the line, or Lewis has. But the most important thing is to sit down and talk it through — and that's exactly what we did, because we're a team. The rules of engagement between us are clear, and we don't want a repeat of what happened on lap two in Monza. I think that incident was slightly blown out of proportion, but whenever it involves Ferrari, it always gets extra attention. In any case, I'm here to compete against the very best in Formula 1, and Lewis is certainly one of them."
