Today, the 4th Youth Olympic Games kicked off in Dakar, the capital of Senegal, featuring beach wrestling competitions.

According to Offsideplus.az, two athletes from the Azerbaijani team have begun their campaigns in the tournament.

Our representatives, Nihad Suleymanli (80 kg) and Gunel Kerimli (55 kg), concluded their group stage matches with victories.

Nihad Suleymanli will face Greece's Konstantinos Mourtzilakis for a place in the final.

Meanwhile, Gunel Kerimli (55 kg) will go head-to-head with Senegal's Elizabeth Diatta for a spot in the final.
