Azerbaijan's teams have played their next matches at the 46th World Chess Olympiad held in Samarkand, Uzbekistan.

According to Offsideplus.az, in the seventh round, our men's team defeated Greece with a score of 3.5 to 0.5. Meanwhile, our women's national team suffered a narrow defeat against Armenia, losing 1.5 to 2.5.

After seven rounds, our men's team has accumulated 12 points and is currently positioned fifth in the tournament standings. The women's team, with 10 points, is placed 14th.

Today, our chess players will take to the board for their eighth-round matches. The men's team will face India, while the women will compete against Argentina.

It is worth noting that the World Chess Olympiad, which follows the Swiss system, consists of 11 rounds and will conclude on September 27.
