Azerbaijani judokas finished the second day of the European Junior Judo Championships in Podgorica, Montenegro, without winning any medals.

Offsideplus.az reports that Abil Yusubov (73 kg), Jasur Ibadli, and Mehdi Abbasov (both 81 kg), who competed today, failed to reach the podium.

Jasur Ibadli secured victories in his first two matches to advance to the quarterfinals, where he suffered a defeat. The 21-year-old judoka was subsequently eliminated after losing his repechage bout.

Abbasov was eliminated in his second match, while Yusubov lost his opening contest.

Azerbaijan currently holds two gold medals in the tournament, won yesterday by Aykhan Mirzazada (60 kg) and Mahammad Musayev (66 kg).
