Araz-Naxchivan has officially appointed Yuri Maksimov as their new head coach.

Offsideplus.az reports that the Nakhchivan side signed a contract with the Ukrainian specialist until the end of the 2026/2027 season. He replaces Javid Huseynov in this role.

The 58-year-old manager is no stranger to Azerbaijani football, having previously coached Keshla (now Shafa) during the 2017–2018 season, leading them to victory in the Azerbaijan Cup. Throughout his career, Maksimov has also managed notable clubs such as Vorskla, Dnipro-1, and Kryvbas.
