The Azerbaijan Boxing Federation (ABF) has issued a statement regarding the scandal that occurred at the European Championship among school boxers held in Zlatibor, Serbia.
Offsideplus.az reports that the organization's press service has released a statement on this.
It was stated that steps will be taken in accordance with the ABF's instructions and rules regarding Hamza Avezov for not acting in accordance with sports ethics (entering the ring and physically affecting the referee - ed.).
It was noted that in the aforementioned fight, the North Macedonian referee Stefan Subalevski, acting in a biased manner, putting his personal interests first, and using fraud, deprived our boxer of a clean victory and deprived him of the championship.
The ABF will also address an appeal to the relevant international organization to take action against the referee.
It should be noted that the incident occurred in the final match between Yusif Agakishiyev and Viktor Majstrovich (75 kg).
