The Wrestling World Championship has kicked off in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan.

According to Offsideplus.az, four Greco-Roman wrestlers from Azerbaijan participated on the first day.

Two of them, Eldeniz Azizli (55 kg) and Senan Suleymanov (77 kg), managed to reach the semi-finals.

Murad Mammadov (60 kg) and Gurban Gurbanov (82 kg) were eliminated in the quarter-finals.

They will be hoping their defeated opponents reach the final.

The semi-final matches will begin at 18:00 Baku time (19:00 local time).

It is worth noting that the tournament will continue until November 1.
