Baku is hosting the FIFA U-15 World Cup and Festival for the first time in history.

According to Offsideplus.az, teams representing the associations of 189 countries that are members of FIFA will compete in the international tournament.

The championship is expected to involve nearly 4,000 young footballers, coaches, and officials, with around 1,000 matches scheduled to take place.

The Hovsan Competition Complex, which will host the vast majority of the games, has been fully prepared for the tournament.

The complex, built in a short period, features 10 football pitches that can accommodate 20 matches simultaneously, and all necessary infrastructure has been established for the high-level organisation of the event.
