The Technical and Refereeing Committee of the Azerbaijan Wrestling Federation (AGF) has adopted several new decisions during its latest meeting.

Offsideplus.az reports that the meeting, chaired by AGF Secretary General Parvin Piriyev, saw Kamran Guliyev, Head of the Federation's Sports Department, and Nuraddin Rajabov, senior coach of the Greco-Roman wrestling national team, elected as new members of the Technical and Refereeing Committee.

During the session, a comprehensive exchange of views took place regarding the Committee's operations. The discussions focused on organizing training sessions and seminars aimed at enhancing the knowledge and skills of referees and coaches. Additionally, the committee reviewed plans for launching league competitions among children and youth wrestlers, alongside measures to further strengthen the material and technical infrastructure.

The proposals made during the meeting were fully evaluated, the Committee's future strategic directions were defined, and corresponding decisions were made to draft the upcoming action plan.

The meeting concluded by highlighting the importance of measures to be implemented for developing the refereeing institution, improving the quality of tournaments, and ensuring more effective management of wrestling across all age categories.
