Zira head coach Rashad Sadygov has shared his thoughts following their victory against Neftchi.

According to Offsideplus.az, he commented on the tense match:

"We witnessed a very interesting game. The first half was a tactical battle. Neither side wanted to give an inch. After the break, we tried to play faster. We definitely did not want to sit back and protect the score. We earned three very important points. I am proud of my players' determination today. We must continue like this.

Sadygov also responded to Neftchi head coach Yuri Vernidub's comments that "the referees favour Zira":

"I don’t recall any referee errors in the first match between these two teams. The game ended as it started. I have great respect for Vernidub. I am pleased that a coach like him is working in Azerbaijan. Vernidub has been here for 5-6 months. He may not know the struggles Zira has faced due to referee errors. He might have been emotional and made such statements after the match."

Sadygov also mentioned that they have reached a verbal agreement with two players.
