Neftchi has bolstered its squad with the addition of another player.

According to Offsideplus.az, the club has signed Croatian defender Vicko Shevel.

The 25-year-old has signed a three-year contract and will wear the number 88 shirt for the "white-blacks".

He is also capable of playing in central defence and on the right flank.

Throughout his career, Shevel has played for clubs in Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Russia, Slovenia, and Scotland.

His most recent club was Dundee United, where he made 40 appearances last season, contributing three assists.

Shevel featured in all three matches of the Scottish Championship's opening rounds for the 2026/27 season, as well as in all five fixtures of the Scottish League Cup.
