"Football Meets Data" has analysed how many points are needed to progress from the group stage of the Champions League.

According to Offsideplus.az, the team that finished 24th in the group stage of the Champions League in the 2024/25 season accumulated 11 points. In the 2025/26 season, however, just 9 points were enough to make it into the "Top-24".

Current forecasts suggest that this season, the threshold for 24th place could be 9 points. In this case, the team's goal difference is expected to be around -2.

The second most realistic scenario for 24th place is 10 points, with a projected median goal difference of -3.

It is worth noting that Azerbaijani representative Sabah will compete in the group stage of the Champions League.
