"For me, what matters is the team's development from game to game," said Filipe Kandido, head coach of Sumqait, following their match against Qarabag in the third round of the Azerbaijan Premier League, as reported by Offsideplus.az.
The coach shared his thoughts on the game:
"I was not satisfied with the result, but I can say that we were playing well until the red card. Towards the end of the first half, both our team and Qarabag had goal-scoring opportunities.
I was pleased with some aspects of my team. I see progress in our game plan.
In the second half, we tried to change the result. Although we had our chances, we couldn't convert them into goals. I am confident that we will become a good team.
In fact, I don't like to talk about time. I hope that by the end of the season, we will have a team that can compete with every team. I believe in this. Progress will be visible from game to game, and a good squad will be built."
It is worth noting that the match concluded with Qarabag winning 1-0.
