The U-15 European Wrestling Championship continues in Samokov, Bulgaria.

According to Offsideplus.az, the finalists in three Greco-Roman and five women's wrestling weight categories were determined on the second day of the tournament.

The most successful result of the day came from Ulviyya Musayeva (33 kg). She secured her spot in the final by defeating Ines Szymczak of Poland and Viktoriia Pervachuk of Ukraine by fall (pinning their shoulders to the mat). Our compatriot will face Yagmur Minaz of Turkey tomorrow for the gold medal.

Among our other representatives, Madina Karimova (46 kg) lost her opening match to Rusalina Portaru of Moldova (3-9). However, since her opponent reached the final, Madina earned a chance to compete in tomorrow's repechage rounds. Nargiz Jafarzade (39 kg) lost a tight bout to Sofiya Protsiv of Ukraine by a narrow margin (8-9), Laman Aliyeva (54 kg) fell to Tereza Tkachyshyn of Ukraine (0-10), and Aylin Hasanli (62 kg) was defeated by Elli Brousa of Greece (1-6), all ending their run in the tournament.

In the Greco-Roman competition, Fikrat Bakhshaliyev (85 kg) lost to Kerem Uzun of Turkey in the 1/8 final (0-5). Since his opponent advanced to the final, Fikrat will join the repechage rounds to fight for a bronze medal.

Ibrahim Mammadzade (68 kg) crushed Angelis Perdikaris of Greece 8-0 in the opening round but could not overcome Rustam Nekhai of Russia in the quarterfinals (0-10). Meanwhile, Suleyman Verdiyev (75 kg) bested Arman Ginosyan of Armenia (4-1) before losing to Ammar Mendokhov of Russia (2-10) in the next stage.
