Azerbaijani karatekas are gearing up to compete in the final international tournament of the year.

According to Offsideplus.az, the national team will take part in the Karate 1-Series A event, scheduled for October 2–4 in Salzburg, Austria. Azerbaijan has registered a total of 12 athletes for the competition.

The women's squad features Madina Sadygova, Suada Karimova (both 55 kg), Gulay Orujova, Renata Arabli, Aysu Aliyeva (all 61 kg), and Irina Zaretska (68 kg).

The men's team includes Farid Savadov (60 kg), Aladdin Melikov (67 kg), Nijat Karimli (75 kg), Turgut Hasanov (84 kg), as well as Nihad Karimzade and Vahid Hasanov (both +84 kg).
