"Qarabag" will be the guest of "Twente" in the playoff stage of the Conference League tomorrow.
According to Offsideplus.az, ahead of the match, the head coach of the Agdam representative, Qurban Qurbanov, answered questions from media representatives at a press conference:
"We are heading out for an important away match. It’s a familiar team from the past. It’s a stadium where we have good memories. Although we have our problems... We didn’t have time to prepare. We couldn’t train as a team. Today is a rest day. We have a training session tomorrow morning.
We have had many such periods. I wouldn’t say it’s difficult. We never want to give up playing in Europe. We have new players coming in. I’m looking at their preparation; those tournaments are different. Clubs grow during such challenging times. There have been complaints in the past as well."
On the difference between the current "Twente" and the one they faced before:
"We were better back then than we are now. We were more eager. "Twente" plays collective football. They play a game that the fans will enjoy."
When asked who will wear the number 10 shirt, the experienced coach replied:
"There are many who want it (laughs). Let’s play the match against "Twente" and we’ll see."
He also commented on the current situation of Jeremi Gnalin, who joined the team in winter:
"He is young and has potential. He needs to play. Last season we had Elvin and Toral, and now we have Lanqa. They have good aspects in one-on-one battles."
