The famous characters from Azerbaijani fairy tales, Cırtdan and Goychek Fatma, have been selected as the official mascots for the European Championship to be held among women volleyball players in 2026.

According to Offsideplus.az, these beloved figures will bring excitement and colour to the stands throughout the tournament. Organisers have stated that these characters will not only serve as the official symbols of the competition but will also showcase our country's rich cultural heritage, national fairy tale world, and renowned hospitality to Europe.

It is worth noting that the excitement of "EuroVolley-2026" Group C will take place from August 21 to 28 at the National Gymnastics Arena. The Azerbaijani national team, competing as the host, will face off against the national teams of Portugal, the Netherlands, Belgium, Romania, and Spain.
