Elchin Mammadov, the deputy secretary general of the AFFA, visited Tbilisi on August 8-9 in his capacity as UEFA's match director.

According to Offsideplus.az, he inspected the Mikhail Meskhi Stadium, where Georgian champions Iberia host their home games, to assess the venue's readiness for the league stage of UEFA club competitions in the 2026/2027 season.

During the visit, E. Mammadov also met with club representatives to discuss rule changes that will be implemented in the new season.
