The 46th World Chess Olympiad, held in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, has concluded the games of the eighth round, with the schedule for the ninth round now confirmed.

According to Offsideplus.az, in the eighth round, the Azerbaijani men's team drew 2-2 with India. The women's team also reached a stalemate with Argentina, ending their match with the same score of 2-2.

Following these results, the men's chess players have accumulated 13 points, placing them fifth, while the women's team, with 11 points, is currently in 21st position.

In the upcoming ninth round, the men's team will face Armenia, while the women's team will go up against the Czech Republic.

It is worth noting that the World Chess Olympiad, consisting of 11 rounds under the Swiss system, will conclude on September 27.
