Renowned Azerbaijani karateka, five-time World and 11-time European champion, as well as Tokyo 2020 Olympic silver medalist Rafael Aghayev has undergone another surgery.

According to Offsideplus.az, Aghayev shared the news himself on his Instagram page.

He noted that this marks his 13th surgery, five of which have been on his knee.
