The capital Baku will host one of the most influential discussion platforms of the international sports community - the "SportAccord World Sport & Business Summit" - from May 24 to 28, 2026.

Offsideplus.az reports that on this occasion, on September 8, 2025, an official agreement was signed between the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan, SportAccord and Baku City Circuit Operating Company, and a presentation ceremony was held.

Founded in 2003, SportAccord is today one of the influential organizations that brings together more than 120 international federations representing both Olympic and non-Olympic sports, the International Olympic Committee and other sports organizations. The main goal of the organization is to support the global development of sports, strengthen cooperation between sports organizations and promote the social, economic and cultural values ​​​​of sports around the world.

The annual SportAccord summit is one of the most prestigious events in global sports and business circles. Hundreds of international federations, organizations, sponsors and media representatives come together to discuss the future of the world of sports, forge new partnerships and benefit from global networking opportunities. Conferences, exhibitions and bilateral meetings are organized within the framework of the summit.

SportAccord organizes the World Combat Games, World Mind Games and World Urban Games, which combine both Olympic and non-Olympic sports, and these events are recognized in more than 150 countries.

Baku hosting this prestigious summit in 2026 will further strengthen Azerbaijan’s position in the international sports and business world and bring our country to the center of attention of the global sports community.
