The Azerbaijan U17 national football team faced their Bulgarian counterparts today.

Offsideplus.az reports that the match was held as part of the second round of the European Championship qualifying stage. Competing in League B, Group 2, our national team met the local side in the city of Plovdiv, Bulgaria, for their opening match.

The encounter, held at the "Hristo Botev" Stadium, ended in a 1:1 draw. Our only goal was scored by Ali Bashirov.

It should be noted that the U17 squad will play its remaining group matches against Lithuania on March 27 and Malta on March 30.
