The reason behind Azerbaijani judoka Hidayat Heydarov's (73 kg) absence from the Grand Slam tournament in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, has been revealed.

Offsideplus.az reports that the judoka was sidelined from the competition after failing to make weight.

The Paris 2024 Summer Olympics gold medalist also missed the Tashkent Grand Slam in Uzbekistan this past February due to the same weight-cutting issue.
