Neftchi have extended the contracts of their captains, Emin Mahmudov and Emil Balayev.

Offsideplus.az reports that under the new agreements, Mahmudov has signed a 1+1 year deal, while Balayev has put pen to paper on a two-year contract.

It is worth noting that Emin Mahmudov, who has been representing the club since the 2017/18 season, has made 289 official appearances and scored 72 goals over the past 9 seasons.

Emil Balayev, a product of the Neftchi academy, had spells with the team during the 2012/13–2014/15 and 2023/24–2025/26 seasons, making 25 official appearances.
