Ahead of the UEFA Champions League third qualifying round away clash against Danish side Aarhus, Sabah head coach Valdas Dambrauskas shared his thoughts on the upcoming match during a pre-match press conference.

Offsideplus.az reports that the Lithuanian specialist highlighted his team's awareness of their opponent's strength and expressed their desire to secure a favorable result on the road:

"We have arrived in Denmark fully prepared. Reaching this stage of the Champions League is a matter of pride for any manager. Aarhus are a quality team and the reigning Danish champions; we have thoroughly analyzed their strengths and weaknesses. We will aim to dictate our own game on the pitch and push for a victory. I believe my players will carry out their instructions with precision."

The experienced manager noted that it is too early to talk about potential play-off opponents: "We know our potential opponents, but to avoid any distraction, we are strictly focused on this match."

Dambrauskas also touched upon Aaron Malouda's transfer to Swiss club Basel, stating that the young player shone at Sabah and that the move benefited both parties. Highlighting the arrival of new signing Christian Nwachukwu, he praised the quick and effective work of the club's scouting department.

The Aarhus vs. Sabah fixture will kick off tomorrow, August 5, at 20:30 Baku time at Randers Stadium. The return leg will take place on August 11 at Bank Respublika Arena in Masazir.
