Sabah played the first leg of their UEFA Champions League third qualifying round match today.

Offsideplus.az reports that the Owls faced AGF Aarhus in Denmark.

Although the match was originally scheduled to start at 20:30 Baku time, kick-off was delayed by 40 minutes, starting at 21:10. This was due to traffic congestion caused by a road accident on the highway from Aarhus to Randers, which delayed the team buses.

The Danish side secured a 2–1 victory in the contest.

The return fixture between the two sides will take place on August 11.
