The postponed Matchday 21 fixture of the Misli Premier League between Neftchi and Qarabag ended in a 2-1 victory for the "Black and Whites".

Offsideplus.az reports that Qarabag head coach Gurban Gurbanov shared his thoughts on the match during the post-game press conference:

"I congratulate Neftchi on their victory. I was satisfied with my players. There was a great football atmosphere today. I expected Neftchi's players to be more prepared for this match. Their previous defeat provided them with extra motivation and seriousness. We tried our best to ensure our players didn't dwell on the first game. They know the opponent has a quality squad and fast players. There was a bit of complacency in the opening minutes, but they are only human, and they showed good competitiveness. Today was Neftchi's day," the specialist noted.

Gurbanov also provided an update on the club's transfer agenda:

"Negotiations are ongoing. We have directed about 60-70% of our efforts toward transfers. We need a deeper squad. We will definitely try to make 4, 5, or even 6 transfers. There have been cases where a transfer fell through at the last moment. There will be changes in the squad, yes. This isn't necessarily because we want to release certain players, but rather to expand our options. There will be both departures and arrivals. Regarding Elvin, the situation remains the same. There are a few games left, and a decision will be made then. I haven't had a meeting with Elvin yet. As for not playing in the Reserve League, I haven't given such an order. If they wish, they can play."
