Zira will host Estonia's Paide in the second leg of the UEFA Conference League qualifying round.

Offsideplus.az reports that the Eagles' head coach Rashad Sadygov shared his thoughts at a press conference ahead of the match.

"Sabah is waiting for us in the return leg. We lost the first match, but we must show our best to overcome the deficit. We know the opponent has a significant advantage. We need to play one of our best games. At the same time, I wish success to our other representatives competing in European competitions. I would love for all four of our teams to reach at least the playoffs. That would be a huge boost for Azerbaijani football."

Sadygov also acknowledged the absence of Cibril in the squad:

"Our issues are not being analysed correctly. Last year, we had a similar situation, even in the Cup final. I knew I would not be 100% ready for the first minute of the match. We will need him in the return leg. I hope he shows one of his best performances tomorrow."

Discussing the young players in the squad and transfer plans, he stated:

"If we believe in the potential of the players, we will invest in the youth. Our new signings are young, including one of them, Salifu Suman, and another, Cibril, is being sought after. I believe they will shine. The team is planning to bring in another 4-5 foreign players, but we are not rushing. We have no intention of sacrificing the championship for European competitions. We have players we are negotiating with, and we will be attentive to every detail in the next month."

The head coach highlighted that Paide is a team capable of playing with experience and results:

"In the first leg, we were the side that controlled the game, but our opponent was a team that could play with experience and results. They analysed us very well. The goal we conceded was disappointing, as there are no easy opponents in European competitions. Playing well is not enough. We have not thought about potential opponents in the next round; all our focus is solely on tomorrow's game."

It is worth noting that the match will take place tomorrow, July 30, at the SOCAR Polymer Arena stadium in Sumgait, starting at 20:00 Baku time.
