The 10th round of the Misli Premier League has concluded, marking a rare occurrence in our football history since independence, as no matches were held in Baku during this round.

The central fixture took place in Tovuz, where the local team Turan faced Sabah. The Owls, who suffered defeat against Turan last season, were unable to overcome the resistance of the home side, with the western team managing to secure a 3-2 victory.

Araz-Nakhchivan... This team has now failed to win for the third consecutive round despite leading in the match. Yuri Maksimov's players, who had a two-goal advantage over Zirə, ended up drawing 2-2. Zirə's resilience must be acknowledged, but it is worth noting that the Eagles have not won either, with just one victory in their last seven league matches.

Like Sabah, Qarabağ also stumbled. The match ended in a goalless draw, with no real goal-scoring opportunities created. Consequently, the Agdam representatives have dropped points for the fourth time this season. However, they remain the only unbeaten team in the league.

Despite five goals being scored, the match between Şamaxı and Neftchi was one of the least exciting encounters of the round. The poor quality of the artificial turf played a significant role. Although Azər Bağırov's team fell behind twice, they managed to restore parity. However, after conceding a third goal, they had neither the strength nor the time to respond.

Kəpəz's unbeaten run continues. The Ganja representatives defeated İmişli, who had not lost in three matches, thanks to a stunning goal from Namik Ələskərov. Azər Məmmədov's efforts should not be underestimated, but the stadium and the fans can only provide so much motivation to a team. Kəpəz has now gone a full month without defeat, with two draws and five victories in their last seven matches. The game in hand can be counted not only for Qarabağ but also for Kəpəz. With five wins in nine matches, the team sits fifth with 17 points.

The round concluded in Sumgayit, where the home team faced Şəfa. Like Araz-Nakhchivan, the capital representatives have now gone three matches without a win, as the team lacks a winning mentality. Given the current trajectory, this situation appears unlikely to change. Şəfa continues to be one of the clear relegation candidates, while Sumgayit dropped two points in a match where they needed to secure three.
