FIFA has trialled innovative rules at the U-15 World Cup held in Baku, aimed at increasing young players' participation in the game and enhancing their technical skills.

According to Offsideplus.az, the key innovations introduced under this experimental format include:

Kick-ins instead of throw-ins: The rule now allows the ball to be reintroduced onto the pitch using the foot rather than the hands.

Unlimited substitutions: To provide players with more experience on the pitch, there is no limit on the number of substitutions.

Relaxed offside rule: The offside rule only comes into effect after a line drawn 14 metres from the goal.

Arsène Wenger, head of FIFA's Global Football Development Department, shared his thoughts on the innovations, stating: "At this age, the most important thing is to play. When you love the sport, you want to know how good you are."

Experts believe that such innovations create conditions for young players to participate more actively in the game and touch the ball more often, which is crucial for their future development.
