On July 26, the winners of the inaugural Red Bull Pahlavan competition, held in the Icherisheher area of Baku, have been determined.

According to Offsideplus.az, participants faced a total of 10 challenges along a 1.7-kilometre route, which included five obstacles and five functional training stations. The course featured tasks such as a balance beam, hanging ladder, climbing net, barriers, weight carrying, and sit-to-stand exercises.

Organisers reported that over 500 applications were received for the competition, with 250 confirming their participation. A total of 158 athletes lined up at the starting line to compete for the finish.

During the event, AMINA-AZIF wrestlers showcased exemplary performances reflecting national wrestling traditions.

In the women's category, Anna Yusupova claimed first place, followed by Leyla Mammadova in second, and Liliya Smirnova in third.

In the men's category, Najmeddin Zaliyev emerged as the winner, with Guloglan Asadov in second and Farid Zeynalov in third.

The winners received their awards from two-time OCR world champion and Red Bull athlete Ida Mathilde Steensgaard, Paris 2024 Olympic judo champion Hidayat Heydarov, Deputy Head of the Icherisheher State Historical-Architectural Reserve Administration Rena Nasirova-Mustafayeva, and President of the Azerbaijan National Sports Types Association Kazim Gurbanov.

The Red Bull Pahlavan competition was organised with the support of the Icherisheher State Historical-Architectural Reserve Administration. The event featured participation from the Azerbaijan National Sports Types Association and the AMINA-AZIF team. The functional and brand zones of the competition were prepared by LED.az, while CBC Sport served as the official media partner.
