The European Chess Championship held in Batumi, Georgia has ended.
Offsideplus.az reports that the Azerbaijani team consisting of Shahriyar Mammadyarov, Rauf Mammadov, Aydin Suleymanli, Mahammad Muradli and Eltaj Safarli finished the tournament with a silver medal.
They lost to Serbia in the last round and had to settle for second place. Our team finished the tournament with 13 points.
Ukraine won the gold medal, Serbia won the bronze medal.
Our women's team lost to Poland in the last match - 1.5:2.5.
Our ladies finished the tournament without a prize.
