Rafael Fiziev, who will face Manuel Torres at UFC Fight Night Baku at the National Gymnastics Arena on June 27, has spoken to journalists.

Offsideplus.az reports that he shared his thoughts about the upcoming bout:

"Manuel is tall, just like all my opponents. Our strengths are equal. We both have grenades in our hands. I will utilize all the experience I have gained in the UFC so far. I will exploit his weaknesses against him. I wouldn’t say he possesses any extraordinary power or unique techniques. He just executes simple things exceptionally well and with great speed."

Fiziev also commented on Justin Gaethje, who won the belt by defeating Ilia Topuria:

"Justin Gaethje defeated me twice and captured the belt. He had great energy. Let me tell you a story: we spent 30 minutes in the cage. He put on such an incredible performance that his display motivated me. It's like back in school—you become friends with someone after getting into a fight with them. The motivation he gave me will fuel my strength this Saturday."

Rafael Fiziev then spoke about his family:

"This is something extraordinary for me and my family. My family was exiled to Central Asia. They lived and they survived. I am the third generation here, alive and well. If my grandfathers could see this, they would be proud. My father is proud too. As for dieting, like any Caucasian, cutting weight before a fight is tough for me."
