Former Azerbaijani national team footballer Jeyhun Sultanov has been appointed as the president of Araz-Naxchivan Football Club.

Offsideplus.az reports, citing the club's press service, that this decision was made during a meeting of the Board of Directors.

The meeting also included discussions regarding the club's preparations for the new season, the restructuring of the youth academy teams, and the transfer operations for the first team.

It is worth noting that during his playing career, Sultanov played for Farid, Neftchi, Dinamo (Baku), Baku, Khazar-Lankaran, Kapaz, Sumgait, Gabala, as well as the Iranian club Mashinsazi. In various years, he has also served in executive roles at Sumgait, Neftchi, and Keshla.
