Zira head coach Rashad Sadygov has commented on the 3-0 victory over Georgia's Torpedo Kutaisi in the first qualifying round of the UEFA Conference League, discussing the upcoming return fixture.
According to Offsideplus.az, the specialist highlighted that their plans were successfully executed in the first match, but emphasised that nothing is over yet:
"We wanted to put pressure on the opponent, and we managed to do that. We could have increased the score further, but fatigue was noticeable towards the end of the match. The new signings still need time to settle in, and not all the players are in ideal shape. Nevertheless, our team showed great determination.
In football, anything can happen; everything can change in a matter of minutes. The opponent has quality players, and the Kutaisi representative was better prepared than us. We must be ready for everything in the away return match and perform better to progress to the next stage."
It is worth noting that the return fixture between the teams will take place on July 16 in Georgia.
