The head coach of the national 3x3 basketball team and Neftchi SOCAR club, Ratomir Delic, has evaluated the results of this season and the upcoming tournament.

Delic stated: "Our national team has had a fairly successful season. Although we couldn't complete the World Cup with a full squad due to injuries, we showed determination in the semi-finals even with three players. The qualification for the European Cup was also unforgettable for us, and we achieved important victories. Despite all the injury problems, the girls' resilience in facing challenges is commendable. We have important competitions ahead, and if we step onto the court with maximum focus, I will be proud of my team.

Regarding Neftchi, although we faced serious injuries this season, we emerged from the trials successfully. It is truly encouraging how quickly the new transfers have adapted to the team. Our main goal is to qualify for the final stage of the World Women’s Series. We have a real chance to finish the regular season in one of the top two positions.

This weekend, although we will compete with a new lineup in the tournament in Azerbaijan, we are fully prepared. The most important aspect is to prepare step by step for the decisive matches at the beginning of next month. As a national team, we are also in a good position to compete for qualification in the Olympic qualifying tournaments. Overall, I am completely satisfied with the work we have done this season."

It is noteworthy that the Azerbaijan national team and Neftchi SOCAR will participate in the World Women’s Series stage at Sea Breeze on August 15-16.
