Azerbaijan's freestyle wrestler Ibrahim Hasanov has won a silver medal at the U-17 World Championships held in Baku.

According to Offsideplus.az, the athlete, competing in the 51 kg weight category, was defeated by Iranian wrestler Benyamin Mayvan in the decisive match with a score of 1-5, finishing the competition in second place.

Thus, our freestyle wrestling team concluded the World Championships with one silver medal.

Previously, our Greco-Roman wrestlers Ali Javadli (45 kg), Abdurrahman Huseynli (51 kg), and Isfahan Hasanov (80 kg) also secured silver medals.

Omar Salmanov (48 kg), Elmir Cherkazov (60 kg), and Orkhan Habibli (65 kg) were awarded bronze medals.
