The wrestling ranking tournament in Budapest is ongoing.

According to Offsideplus.az, three Azerbaijani wrestlers are representing the country on the third day of the competition.

In the women's wrestling category at 65 kg, Birgul Soltanova first defeated Romania's Maria Pantiru with a score of 13-5. She then lost to Riis Larramendi from the USA in the quarter-finals with a score of 4-6. In the bronze medal match, Soltanova triumphed over Canada's Miki Roubottom by 'fall', securing her place on the podium. This marks her first medal at ranking tournaments in her career.

In the 68 kg category, Nigar Mirzazade faced Turkey's world championship medalist and two-time European champion Nesrin Bas, losing with a score of 0-10.

Meanwhile, in Greco-Roman wrestling, Muhammad Shukurzad debuted in the 67 kg category but was eliminated early, losing 0-9 to Croatia's Dominik Etlinger in the round of 16.
