The squads that will represent Azerbaijan at the U23 European Wrestling Championships, to be held in Zrenjanin, Serbia, from March 9 to 15, have been finalized.

According to Offsideplus.az, our teams will participate in all three disciplines at the first continental championship of the year.

• Freestyle Wrestling: Under the leadership of Jabrayil Hasanov, 10 wrestlers will compete (in the 57, 61, 65, 70, 74, 79, 86, 92, 97, and 125 kg weight categories).

• Women’s Wrestling: 6 athletes, coached by Toghrul Asgarov, will continue the relay (competing in 50, 53, 55, 59, 62, and 72 kg).

• Greco-Roman Wrestling: A full squad led by Mohammad Bana will take to the mat during the final days of the championship (across all categories from 55 kg to 130 kg).

Vugar Shukurov and Kamran Aliyev will represent Azerbaijan in the officiating corps at the tournament.
