Today, Neftchi held an open training session for fans and media representatives. The club's executive director, Cenk Sümer, addressed the media.

According to Offsideplus.az, he stated to journalists:

"We have set ourselves the goal of winning the championship. The club is undergoing changes. Building a new team does not happen in one season. New players have been brought into the squad. Our search continues. We want to be champions in Neftchi's 90th year. We are also ambitious in the European competitions. We will do everything we can to become champions. We believe in this."

It is worth noting that the "white-blacks" will face Belarus's Dinamo in the second qualifying round of the Conference League. The first leg will take place on July 22 in Baku.
