Azerbaijan national team member Vusal Isgandarli shared these words in a statement to Offsideplus.az.

He commented on the 6-1 victory over Saint Lucia in the "FIFA Series – 2026" international tournament: "It was a great game. This is my first goal for the national team. Back in 2015, I scored my first club goal for Zira under the management of Aykhan Abbasov. Now, the same thing has happened with the national team. It’s a pleasant coincidence. I hope to see more coincidences like this."

Isgandarli, who currently plays for the Albanian club Partizani, also discussed his future plans: "Playing abroad is truly a wonderful feeling. Admittedly, you face some challenges at the beginning, but it becomes more comfortable after a while. Representing your country abroad is a matter of pride. For now, I have no intention of returning."

It should be noted that the Azerbaijan national team will face Sierra Leone at the same arena on March 30.
