"I am satisfied with my team and my players," said Azer Memmedov, head coach of Kapaz, during a press conference following their match against Sabah in the first round of the Misli Premier League.
The coach shared his thoughts on the game: "We played against one of the strongest teams in Azerbaijan. Nevertheless, my players showed themselves in a good light and displayed quality football. I believe our team will perform better in the upcoming matches. I thank my players for this game. The championship is a long marathon, and we still have many matches ahead. Hopefully, everything will go well.
Our schedule has not been favourable in terms of the first games. However, we will play against every team in the early rounds. We need time. You know, Kəpəz has almost fallen apart and rebuilt itself every year during its five years in the Premier League. This year is no exception. The team needs time to adapt to one another. I hope we can earn points in the next matches."
It is worth noting that the match concluded with a victory for Sabah, ending 2-0. Coy-Lens Mikels converted a penalty in the 72nd minute, and Xander Severina added another goal in injury time.
