FIFA President Gianni Infantino has made a historic visit to Azerbaijan to prepare for the first-ever FIFA U-15 World Championship and Festival, set to take place in 2026.

According to Offsideplus.az, during the visit, Infantino met with the President of the Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan (AFFA), Rovshan Najaf, at the football base built in Hovsan, where the tournament matches will be held.

Details were provided regarding the construction progress of a complex consisting of 10 football pitches, which is being developed by the leading football organisation.

It was noted that the Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan fully supports the activities of FIFA and Gianni Infantino.
