Samed Nasibov, the Sporting Director of Turan Tovuz, said this in a statement to Offsideplus.az. The club official shared his thoughts on the team qualifying for European competitions after a 32-year hiatus:

"I evaluate Turan Tovuz's performance throughout the season as magnificent. Being away from our fans during the season perhaps prevented us from achieving an even better result. Nevertheless, qualifying for continental tournaments again after 32 years and the fact that a European cup match will be held in Tovuz for the first time is a historic achievement. This result is a great joy for both our club and our region.

When the responsibility of representing the western region of our country in continental competitions is added to this joy, the significance of the result is even better understood. Taking all this into account, we consider this season very successful."

It should be noted that the Tovuz representative secured its place in European competitions yesterday by winning 1-0 against Karvan Yevlakh in Round XXXI of the Misli Premier League.
